A beautiful girl

A year today, I got a phone call that will stick in my memory forever. Today a year ago, a dear friend lost her daughter, we lost a friend and and a golden hair young lady who showed me that living with a disability isn't about doom and gloom.

I saw her a few times a year, enough to know that when she laughed, we laughed. That she loved two nursery rhymes in particular. That she could have a teenage strop like the best of them. That her younger sister would laugh alot when she got told off. I used to love spending time with her. I am positive she called me an Ugly Troll once :). It made us laugh because I think at the time we were trying to get her to take her medications. Good point! Lots of lovely memories.

My friend and I signed a balloon for her at our Balloon Release in Memory. One of these is for her.

We love and miss you and cannot believe its a year since you have been gone. You are in my thoughts every day and so are your families. To them, today I send strength and virtual cuddles and hope you have a glorious day of memories.

Always your friend
