One less balloon

A few years ago someone once told me that they did an exercise with a group of parents who had children with special needs asking them to hold a balloon for every professional involved in their child's care. Most had over 10, some had over 20 or more. When I held my virtual balloons for B we had 30.

This week for the first time ever, we have been able to (partially) pop a balloon. B saw her orthopaedic consultant about her spine. She has postural scoliosis (spine curvature) and kyphosis (shoulder hump)and we have been working hard on her seating and support the past couple of years to prevent it becoming structural and therefore permanent.

So this week her lovely consultant has advised that he really feels that B's spine will not get worse and that he no longer needs to see her on a regular basis but will be available for open access if anything arrives.

A big WOOO HOOO from us here! and can you hear that???........

POP!
